Day 0   Depart from Minneapolis, MN  July 18, 2012

Day 1   Thursday. Arrive in Bergen, Norway  (D) July 19, 2012
Transport from airport to your hotel in Bergen. Get settled in at your hotel and then head out for a stroll down the Hanseatic Wharf!   Welcome dinner at your hotel.

Day 2   Friday. Bergen, Norway  (B) July 20, 2012
Breakfast at your hotel.  A full day to explore historic Bergen!  Trip includes a guided tour of Håkon’s Hall.  The rest of the day is free to explore historic Bergen!  Ride the funicular to top of Mount Floien for the spectacular views, shop Bergen’s charming antique shops or visit Edvard Grieg’s home.  The choice is yours!

Day 3   Saturday. Bergen to Selje  (B, D) July 21, 2012
Breakfast at your hotel.   Bergen – gateway to the Norwegian fjords! Today we board a boat for a trip up the spectacular fjords.  Our destination – Selje and the site of a medieval cloister dedicated to Norway’s Saint Sunniva. Dinner at hotel in Selje.

Day 4   Sunday.  Selje to Ålesund (B, D) July 22, 2012         
Breakfast at your hotel. In the morning we’ll be met at Selje by a boat that will take us to the island and the Selje Kloister ruins. Afternoon drive via private motor coach from Selje to Alesund.  Stop at rosemaled church in Indre Heroy.  Lunch at travelers expense in either Fosnavåg or Ulsteinvik.   Arrive in Alesund.  Dinner at hotel.

Day 5   Monday. Ålesund  (B) July 23, 2012
Breakfast at your hotel.  Tour of Art Nouveau Centre and Art Museum KUBE.  Afternoon free to explore Alesund with it’s charming ornamental buildings.  Climb 418 steps up to the top of Mount Aksla and be rewarded with an unforgettable panoramic view! 

Day 6   Tuesday. Ålesund to Molde  (B, D) July 24, 2012
Breakfast at your hotel.   Today we say farewell to Alesund and head north to Molde – the city of roses.  The Molde area is known for the spectacular Trollstigen Mountain Road, the Atlantic Road and Molde Jazz and the 222 mountain peaks of Molde Panorama.   Dinner at hotel.

Day 7   Wednesday. Molde to Trondheim (B) July 25, 2012
Breakfast at your hotel.  Drive from Molde to Trondheim via private motor coach.  Check into your hotel. Evening free to explore Trondheim.

Day 8   Thursday. Trondheim – opening ceremony of Olav Festival (B) July 26, 2012
Breakfast at your hotel.   Olavfestdagene – St. Olav’s Festival, celebrating their 50th anniversary Catch the excitement on opening day with the procession down through Trondheim toward Nidaros Cathedral – built to honor Norway’s patron saint – St. Olav.     Possible concerts or other events.

Day 9   Friday. Stiklestad (B) July 27, 2012
Breakfast at your hotel.   Day at Stiklestad for attractions and play.  Experience the exciting cultural history of Stiklestad through the medieval farm Stiklestadir, The Saint Olav drama, exhibititions, the Folk Museum, guided tours and other activities. 

Day 10  Saturday. Trondheim – Olav Festival  (B, D) July 28, 2012
Breakfast at your hotel.  Free day in Trondheim to attend concerts, participate in hymn sings and explore the local markets. 

Day 11  Sunday. Trondheim – Olav Festival  (B, D) July 28, 2012
Breakfast at your hotel.  Free day in Trondheim to attend concerts, participate in hymn sings and explore the local markets.  Farewell dinner for tour group.

Day 12 Monday.  Depart Trondheim for Minneapolis  (B) July 30, 2012

Breakfast at your hotel.  Transport from hotel to Trondheim airport.  Flight from Trondheim to Minneapolis with a stop in Iceland
