Day 1 - 12 Bergen – The Gateway to the Fjords

Your Lectures on Board:

During the voyage, you will have special talks and presentations by your lecturer, telling you all about the incredible things we can find in our skies, including, of course, the elusive Northern Lights. These talks are exclusively for those on the Astronomy Voyage.    

Tromsø Planetarium Visit:
On Day 5 of your voyage, you will arrive in Tromsø. Here, your lecturer will take you on a special excursion to the Northern Lights Planetarium to experience an incredible show about our night sky.

An Applied Physicist, Dr. John Mason's main interests are Astronomy, Astrophysics and Space Technology. His is Principal Lecturer at the South Downs Planetarium in Chichester, has been a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society since 1976, and is a member of the international Astronomical Union.

Ian Ridpath is a full time writer and broadcaster on Astronomy and previously worked at the University of London Observatory. He is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, a member of the Society of Authors and of the Association of British Science Writers. His also the Editor of the Oxford Dictionary of Astronomy and Norton's Star Atlas.
