 Get Ready to Explore Norway

Come aboard and be part of Norway. Join us on a voyage through the calm, sheltered waters of Norway's shores, closer to the landscape, wildlife and inhabitants.

Since 1893, the Hurtigruten ships have been a vital link between the cities, towns and hamlets, carrying local passengers, freight and guests. For more than 120 years the ships have sallied along the coastline, deeper into the spectacular landscape than anyone else.  Hurtigruten takes to fjords, waterways and ports that larger ships cannot reach.  There is no better way to enjoy the truly Norwegian way of the life than on the original Coastal Voyage.

Experience the changing seasons that set the rhythm of life for local people.   Whenever you sail with Hurtigruten, you will be provided with an ever-changing backdrop to a journey of matchless wonder. Choose the number of days for your voyage, then pick the style that's right for you.

12-Day Classic Roundtrip Voyage

The full round trip with Hurtigruten takes you from Bergen to Kirkenes and back, showing you all that the Norwegian coastline has to offer.  The Classic Roundtrip Voyage is known as "The World's most beautiful Sea Voyage." Enjoy the changing landscape of over 1,500 miles of stunning coastline with 12 days of majestic scenery, welcoming towns, unique excursions and fresh local food. Enhance your voyage by spending an extra day or two exploring Bergen. Or, add on the scenic train journey between Oslo and Bergen.

11-Day Classic Norwegian Discovery Voyage

Similar to the Classic round Voyage, this voyage takes you from Bergen to Kirkenes and ends a day early in Trondheim.  The Classic Norwegian Discovery Voyage ends one day earlier in the port of Trondheim, allowing you time to explore this classic Norwegian city and sights like Nidaros Cathedral plus a chance to ride the Dovre Rail into Oslo. Or, enhance your pre-voyage with extra days in Bergen, or fly into Oslo and take the Flåm Mountain Rail into Bergen.

7-Day Classic Voyage North

The northern leg of the Hurtigruten route, from Bergen to Kirkenes, is perfect for the culture seekers as it includes daytime visits to the cities of Ålesund, Trondheim and Tromsø, as well as a midday call at Honningsvåg, the portal to the windswept North Cape.

Your Voyage North carries a unique sense of exploration as we travel towards the Arctic Circle and into wild, remote Norway. Enhance your journey with a pre-voyage day in Bergen or fly into Oslo and take a scenic rail journey into Bergen. After your voyage, consider extra days in Kirkenes where a variety of extension options are available.

6-Day Classic Voyage South

The southern leg, from Kirkenes to Bergen, is great for those in search of incredible scenery as it includes a daylight sailing through the idyllic mountainous Vesterålen and Lofoten Islands, and past the Seven Sisters mountain and Torghatten, the mountain with a hole in it.

The voyage South begins with the thrill of the Arctic Circle, meandering Southward through some of the most picturesque landscapes on Earth. Extend your stay in Kirkenes or Bergen with one of our pre or post tours or extensions. Choose a city tour in Bergen, or travel by rail from Bergen to Oslo.
